A Mother Struggles to Get along with Her Daughter

Michelle is frustrated to see that her daughter, Jasmine, has not been doing a good job as far as school performance is concerned. She has been getting failing marks in math and science in the last two years. Michelle also doubts her choice of friends, considering that Jasmine has run away from their home a couple of times. For reasons she can't understand, Jasmine rebels against her often. Every time she wants something done, Jasmine argues with her. She refuses to listen to anything that her mom tells her. It's a pity that Michelle still needs to assert legal rights of parents strongly before she gets Jasmine to pay attention. At night, Michelle cries herself to sleep. She cannot believe how much her daughter has changed. She wonders what brought about such changes. All she remembers is that Jasmine used to be a sweet little girl. She was mommy's angel until Michelle decided to divorce Jasmine's dad. She took it negatively. Jasmine loved her dad and she's blaming her mom for his absence in her life.
