Cure for Eye Floaters

Eye Floaters can be cured in several different ways. The most common way to cure eye floaters is through surgery. There are two methods to remove eye floaters through surgery:

-FoV or Floaters Only Vitrectomy involves the removal of all the vitreous humor from the eye. The vitreous humor is then replaced by a saline solution similar in composition to the original vitreous. Since everything is removed, all (or most) of the eye floaters are removed as well. The problem with this procedure is that patients develop complications in more than 50% of the cases.

-Eye Floaters Laser Removal. This technique is the preferred method to remove eye floaters as its much less invasive than FoV. It works by eliminating eye floaters one at a time with the help of a very powerful YAG laser. The main disadvantage of this procedure is that small eye floaters will not be removed. Additionally, big eye floaters are only broken down so they are still inside the patient's vitreous.

There are many other methods to eliminate eye floaters, most of which are discussed in AboutFloaters.com.
