Why Most Graffiti is Destructive

Graffiti is a very destructive way for people and gang members to rebel and get back at the community. It ruins what could have been beautiful scenery and makes the area feel unwelcoming. While SOME graffiti can be aesthetically pleasing, and even be bought as canvas art prints, most graffiti is nothing but gang member tags.
Graffiti is cheap and easy for the ones who do decide to be involved with it. It is sad to see, personally whenever I come across it. Perhaps the reason people are involved with it is because they are trying to get away with something or just for a thrill. Some may be on drugs and do not even realize what it is that they are doing since they may be hallucinating or something. There really is nothing positive involved with graffiti. It is costly to fix, makes an area look distasteful and makes people feel unsafe.
